Computer Design:

Nevada Precision Sheet Metal Inc. utilizes AutoCad 2007, Solid Works 2008, Striker System, Nesting, Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw X3 to import your computer designed files. We can open your 3D solid models, unfold them, then use the geometry to send to our manufacturing cells. This process drastically helps in the rapid prototyping manufacturing of your sheet metal components.

Welding:

Our wide variety of welding equipment and competent welders allow for your most demanding applications. We also offer spot, tack and MIG welding capabilities to satisfy the industries needs.

We also offer plasma cutting and are able to cut up to 2" steel.

Shearing:

Our Shearing Department offers precision cutting of materials from .005 and up to .250 thick. Materials are inspected upon delivery and inventoried in their proper location.

Powder Coating:

Powder coating looks like paint but acts like an armor! It's a tough durable scratch and chemical resistant metal finishing that uses a technique of an electrostatic application.

What can be Powder Coated

Bike frames, motorcycle frames, wheels, roll bars, patio furniture, automotive parts, iron/metal gates, fences, bed frames, animal cages, outdoor lights, cabinet hardware.

Nearly anything made out of all metals can be powder coated.

Powder coating is the technique of applying dry paint to a part. The final cured coating is the same as a 2-pack wet paint. In normal wet painting such as house paints, the solids are in suspension in a liquid carrier, which must evaporate before the solid paint coating is produced.
The powdered paint is electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the part.
The part is then placed in an oven and the powder particles melt and coalesce to form a continuous film.
There are two main types of powder available to the surface finisher:

  • Thermoplastic powders that will remelt when heated, and
  • Thermosetting powders that will not remelt upon reheating. During the curing process (in the oven) a chemical cross-linking reaction is triggered at the curing temperature and it is this chemical reaction which gives the powder coating many of its desirable properties.

Sand Blasting:

Sandblasting is, basically, the process by which someone smoothes, shapes and cleans a hard surface. This is done by forcing particles of sand across the hard surface at an extremely high velocity. It is just like using sandpaper but is more industrial. It can be done to a larger area in less time and even manages to get into all of the nooks, crannies and crevices that sandpaper will often miss.

Laser Cutting:

We have a 1997 Trumpf laser with Bosch controller.  Unit has a 7.5" head.  It has a capacity of 5/8" mild steel, 1/8" aluminum or 1/4" stainless steel.  Table size is 60" X 120" and has a two-sheet pallet changer for loading and unloading.
Our 2600-Watt lasers can quickly and accurately cut almost any type of material with a smooth, dross-free edge that requires little or no clean up. Co2 laser cutting technology has become the most cost effective cutting method for many applications. For both short and long runs, lasers provide many real advantages. We use Trumpf Laser Cutters with a positioning tolerance of .00039 and repeatability of .00020. With our fully operational laser cutter we offer quick turn around while ensuring the highest quality parts for our customers.

Light Pole Locking Cover System:
NO MORE COPPER THEFT

Nevada Precision Sheet Metal Inc. has invented and patented a locking system for light poles to prevent the theft of copper wire. This has been an on going problem in many states, which we have even seen here in Nevada.  With this small invention this custom made product will save the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars in the future.
Description:

  • Custom made to fit any size pole
  • 10 gage cold rolled steel construction
  • High security drill resistant lock with none duplicating key
  • 2 stainless steel 5/16” screw & nuts
  • Zinc plated & Powder coat finish (or Galvanized Finish)
Box Liner Locking Cover System:

Is product also was invented to prevent the theft of copper wire. This locking cover is made for the street light boxes in the side walks.  This has also been a target for copper thieves.
Description:

  • Liner custom made to fit any size box provided by customer.
  • 12 Gage cold rolled steel liner
  • 3/16” cold rolled steel locking system & cover
  • High security drill resistant lock with none duplicating key
Zinc plated & Powder Coated or (Galvanized Finish)
